Martyn Barr DipCAM MCIPR Martyn Barr is an experienced journalist, designer and project manager. He began his public relations career at the London Borough of Southwark, where he was Press & PR Administrator from 1979-1983. He moved on to the Department of Health and Social Security to take charge of a number of multi-million-pound government information programmes, including the high profile anti-drugs campaign. Martyn transferred to the Department of the Environment as Promotions Officer in 1986. He relocated to Kent in 1988 to join international PR and crisis management consultancy, TRS, where he remained for nine years, latterly as General Manager and Head of Publications Production. He left TRS in 1997 to establish Impact. Martyn has been a Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations since 1986 and holds the CAM Diploma in Public Relations and the International Advertising Association’s Advanced Certificate in Advertising. In 2006 he was nominated for a Values into Action Excellence Award by Land Securities, the UK’s largest Real Estate Investment Trust and an Impact client since 1999. |
